STORYSHORTS

Flatbush Pictures makes short films -- anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, or longer -- about organizations that want to increase their visibility, introduce a new service, or otherwise make the most of the possibilities that come with telling your story in one of the most compelling ways possible. We specialize in working with other nonprofits, but also work with small businesses, corporate clients, government and educational institutions.

DOCTOPIA

Doctopia is a full-service production workshop where filmmakers can take advantage of Flatbush Pictures's expertise and experience. We advise and assist filmmakers with any aspect of their project, from development to post-production and festival submission, at affordable rates. Flatbush Pictures also offers discounted rates for other non-profits. For more information, or to apply for assistance from Doctopia, please contact us.

SIXTYCARD

SixtyCard is a 60-second film about you and your organization or business. It’s your own mini-documentary, High Definition business card, and individualized commercial rolled into one. Our award-winning production team films, edits and uploads your SixtyCard. What happens next is up to you.  Air and share your SixtyCard wherever you want; cell phone, iPhone/iPod, Blackberry, YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, or your website.

RENTALS

Flatbush Pictures provides digital video production equipment at the lowest rates to independent filmmakers. We now feature the latest in HD cameras including the RED ONE and Panasonic AG HVX200.  We rent lighting and sound gear and the Redrock M2 cinema lens adapter for 35mm lenses. We also offer HD Final Cut Pro editing suites and production desk space in our Dumbo offices. Please inquire for rates and availability.

SCREENINGS

Flatbush Pictures created and curated several pioneering series of films and talk-backs that have been widely imitated. Brooklyn Independents at BAM Rose Cinemas and Brooklyn Docs at the Brooklyn Museum attracted some of the biggest emerging and established filmmakers and actors in New York, including Steve Buscemi (Tree's Lounge), Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream), Cyndi Lauper (The Opportunists), Ben Younger (Boiler Room), Karen Kusama (Girlfight), Nannette Burstein (On the Ropes), Willem Dafoe (Animal Factory).

WORKSHOPS

Collaboration with the Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Children's Museum and Brooklyn Museum, Flatbush Pictures started the Digital Docs programs for NYC public school kids to learn how to make their own documentaries and become critical consumers of media. Through affordable workshops, we provide access to the hands-on training with industry professionals and the latest digital storytelling tools (shooting, editing, production) for people of all skill levels.
